Alas Pa’ Volar (Wings to Fly), a new cannabis brand inspired by the life and work of Frida Kahlo, is launching in California. Founded by Marisela Nuño, CEO of Hierba Buena, the brand celebrates Latino heritage, artisanal craftsmanship, and premium cannabis. The Kahlo family, including her great-grandnieces, supports the initiative, highlighting Frida’s connection to cannabis as a natural pain remedy. Marvel Comics illustrator Francisco Herrera designed the brand’s visual identity. The official launch is slated for early 2025.
